Conditions

• Prize payments will be made by nominative cheque payable to the beneficiary (the prize-winning player) and will be handed over during the closing ceremony, subject to the recipient’s prior signature of the corresponding tax-withholding receipt, where applicable. If the prize-winning player fails to attend the closing ceremony, this shall be deemed an express waiver of the prize awarded.
• In order to receive the prize, all players must provide a photocopy of their ID document or passport.
• All amounts will be subject to the withholding established by current legislation.

• Prizes and trophies shall not be cumulative; in the event of equal value, the order established in the prizes (general, special, rating bands, and other classifications) shall apply.
• A Veteran player shall be deemed to be one who has reached the age of 60 at the start of the current year.
• A Junior player shall be deemed to be one who is under 18 at the start of the current year.
• For the Special and Elo Band classifications, ONLY the final list published in Round 7 will be taken into account. Any player who does not appear on these lists will not be eligible for these prizes; therefore, any discrepancy must be reported to the organisers no later than during Round 6. If a player does not have a FIDE rating, they will be placed in the lowest Elo band.
• Any participant registered as a resident in Benasque before 1st January 2026 shall be considered a Benasque player.
• The Aragonese Chess Federation will pay prizes to players holding a licence by bank transfer.

Closing ceremony

Tuesday, the 14th, at 17:00, in the Condes de Ribargorza Palace.

Attendance is mandatory for all prize-winners.
